The PANTONE name is known world-wide as the standard for color from designer to manufacturer to retailer to customer. Every year PANTONE selects a new "color of the year." The chosen color becomes a symbol of what we can expect to see taking place this year in fashion, interior design and our global culture. This years color is Greenery which is a fresh vibrant shade of yellow-green.
"Greenery bursts forth in 2017 to provide us with the reassurance we yearn for amid the tumultuous social and political environment. Satisfying our growing desire to rejuvenate and revitalize, Greenery symbolizes the reconnection we seek with nature, one another and a larger purpose."
-Leatrice Eiseman, Executive Director of PANTONE Color Institute
While this years Pantone Color of the Year, Greenery definitely seems like a spring and summer color but it can be incorporated into your wardrobe year round!
Spring: pair with Grey, Lilac and Blue
Summer: pair with Light pink, Coral and white
Fall: pair with Burgandy, Dark Grey and Mustard Yellow
Winter: pair with Plum, Olive Green and Tan
Below are some ways to incorporate the Pantone color of the year into your wardrobe, home decor and even makeup. I have those Lisi Lerch earrings in turquoise and love them, I now have this lime pair on my wish list! I am also slightly obsessed with the ombre nike pants! I think my workouts would be a whole lot easier wearing these.
As we are in the process of building and I'm starting to look at interior design ideas I can't wait to add a touch of Greenery into our new home! Succulents are a great affordable way to do this. Whether it's faux plants or the real deal they are an inexpensive way to add some green to your room.
The Boxwood Wreath from Target (number 4 above) I already have and love putting it on our door in the spring time! Now I just need another since we'll have double front doors on our new home.
I have been wanting a potted Fiddle Leaf Fig Tree for quite sometime now. So you better believe when we were creating our floor plans I was already planning where my fig tree would go. I can't wait to have one in our living room!
